AHRB Centre for Byzantine Cultural History

The AHRB Centre for Byzantine Cultural History was established on 1 October 2000, and is a collaborative project involving Queen’s University Belfast, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the University of Sussex. This  interdisciplinary centre brings together the literary and theological achievements of Belfast, the archaeological strengths of Newcastle, and the art historical expertise of Sussex. The Centre for Byzantine Cultural History is a collaborative project-based structure, generating conferences, colloquia, day-schools for the general public, monographs, web-pages, databases and a journal.
